My Books
I love to write picture books!
(and I might even write a chapter book someday)
I love coming up with new ideas, turning them around in my head, and painting a story with words. I look forward to sharing these stories with you soon!

Other Author's/Illustrator's Books
I love to read picture books!
(and sometimes chapter, middle grade, young adult, and adult books too)
I check out books in the library, buy books at book stores and festivals, read the books my children bring home, and re-read the books I have on my own shelves. I check out so many books at the library, I sometimes need to bring two bags. I just can't help myself--there are just too many good books out there!
I keep track of the books I read, and ones I want to read, on Goodreads. Sometimes I write reviews of them on my Ramblings & Reviews page as well as on Goodreads, Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

Your Books
Do you like to write stories?
You're in good company, and it's never too early or late. I even teach preschoolers how to write & illustrate their own books in my Art of Books enrichment class. (Guess how we always start? By reading picture books!)
There are lots of resources out there (SCBWI & other writing organizations, books on craft, in-person & on-line classes, blogs, podcasts, writing challenges, conferences), but it all comes down to this: Read (a lot). Write (a lot). Revise (A LOT!). Repeat.
